Rubens Gomes is a software engineer having over 12 years of professional software development and systems administration experience. Mr. Gomes has in-depth knowledge of UNIX, and strong development experience in Oracle PL/SQL, Java, C/C++, PHP, Perl, and shell scripting. He is also a Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform.
Mr. Gomes has participated in the development of network management system (NMS) applications for frame relay and asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) networks at Sprint Corporation (Overland Park, KS, USA) and Fujitsu Network Communications (Raleigh, NC, USA). Prior to Sprint, he worked as a programmer analyst in the medical device interface group of Cerner Corporation (Kansas City, MO, USA). After returning to Brazil in Nov. 2000, he worked as a hands-on NMS systems manager of Diveo Broadband Networks (Sao Paulo, SP, Brazil), and as a project manager contractor at T-Systems (Sao Paulo, SP, Brazil). Gomes has also worked as an information specialist / developer at EDS (Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil), and as a senior consultant at American Airlines (Fort Worth, TX, USA). He currently works as a Senior Software Developer at Handango, Inc (Hurst, TX, USA).
Gomes holds a bachelor of science degree in computer engineering (1993) and a master of science degree in electrical engineering (1996) from the University of Kansas, USA.
